Parc Du Mont-Comi

It's amazing what a little snow can do for one's disposition. Several of us traveled to Mont-Comi (Quebec) in February for the first time. The trip took about 3 1/2 hours, but the scenery and wildlife were worth it. The temperature hovered around 5 degrees, so we also frequented the lodge for warmth. What was so enjoyable about Mont-Comi was the variability of terrain and trails; there was literally something for everyone. Our group included novice, intermediate, and expert skiers and one snowboarder. The "facile" runs were scenic and long, while the expert skiers experienced glade and "tres difficle" skiing. The terrain parks were great to watch from the lift and were fun & challenging for those of our group so inclined to hurl themselves into the air or over objects. Mont-Comi certainly deserves another visit. You can check the mountain out further at www.mont-comi.qc.ca. For snow conditions call 418-739-4066.
